Unlike a head hunter whose job is to recruit people, the agent is hired by the artists they represent to watch over their best interests first. We also interviewed two of DAA’s clients, Brandon Davis (3D artist) and Christophe Gwynne (3D artist).

Interview with Robert P. Coleman, Digital Artist Agency:

CGC: Why did you feel the need to create an agency dedicated to digital artists?

RC: After 16 years in post production and visual effects I was looking for an opportunity to start my own business. The notion of a representation agency for VFX was being kicked around and about in 1997, yet no model existed at that time for an agency dedicated to the full spectrum of VFX artists, from VFX supervisors through to rotoscopers and match-movers.
